Sharon Martin Sizzle Reel

Tom

Updated: Nov 25, 2019

Today using the storyboard I put together a one minuet sizzle reel for Sharon's music video. I decided to only do one minuet of a sizzle reel instead of the full music video because I had already made a storyboard so Sharon knows the direction the project is going in I just wanted to give her even more of an idea of where the project is going to make sure she is 100% happy with my ideas before we start planning out shoots. Making a sizzle reel with her song underneath also allows me to show her the ideas I have when it comes to editing which a storyboard doesn't allow you to see. Things like transitions, any colour grading, any sped up or slowed down shots are things you cant see from a storyboard but you can with a sizzle reel. Not only does it allow my client to see where I plan to go with the edit but it also allows me to see what things will roughly look like and also if there is an editing technique that I think might work well in the product that I don't know how to do I can go and find out how to do that. I feel the shots in this sizzle reel are very achievable but most importantly make a professional looking music video that will appeal to Sharon's current fan base but also has the potential to attract new fans as well. My next step with this project is to start looking at locations for shooting.

Update: I have received feedback on the sizzle reel from Sharon and she is happy with my ideas and between us we are looking into locations so that we can hopefully get shooting soon.
