Mine and Sharon's main location idea was to shoot at the local arts centre but she has got in contact with me to say they haven't replied to her email. She has also mentioned some other potential places that I have taken a look at online to see weather I think they will be appropriate or not.
Arts centre Taunton/CIC:
Our original location idea was the local arts centre, it's the perfect location for a narrative based music video like this as it's a very similar venue to the sort of places that Sharon plays at regularly. The picture below is the main area at the arts center where all their events take place, below is the room when it's being used for functions but the chairs can be moved and there is also a stage for concert nights. This large space would be perfect for our shoot so much so that I am going to email them myself to see if they will reply to me. Not only is the location perfect for filming but it is also a location that both me and my client can easily get to.
Strode Theatre:
A location that I don't know a lot about but one that Sharon mentioned could be a possibility is the theatre in Strode. I however do not know if I would be able to get there or not as I don't drive and as well as this I am not sure an actual theatre would be the right location for the music video either. Although it will stay as a possibility if we can not find anything better I am confident we can find somewhere more suitable.
Shooting in the studio at uni:
A location that I have mentioned really as a last option is the studio at uni. It's a location we can both get to and I could set it up to look like a stage but it still wouldn't look better than the real thing. Sharon did mention when I said about the studio at uni what about using students as extras for a shot that we have at the end of the video where Sharon is seen playing to a full auditorium. This idea quickly got thrown out however as I said I did not feel young people of aged 19/20 years old were her main audience to which she has agreed. The location though still remains as a last minute option.
Local Pub: Although potentially a difficult location to shoot in a lot of local pubs in my area hold gigs and therefore have stages. This is something me and Sharon have discussed and will look into more if we can't use the arts centre.
