Bath shoot and client update

Tom

Updated: Nov 18, 2019

When contacting clients I found a music distribution company called Music Expo UK and they have been really helpful it getting my name out there to different bands who want music videos made. The first job they offered me is coming up next Friday (a week today) and involves filming a charity gig at Walcot house in Bath. I was able to also get my colleague Alex to help out on the shoot and he is also helpful for transport as well as another crew member. I’m taking this opportunity to try and build some portfolio work and as a practice for my upcoming music video shoots. The first act is on at 7:30 and me and Alex will aim to be at the location between 6:30 and 7 in order to set up. I have taken a look at the location and it’s quite a small and compact club like location which will benefit me with my smaller lens as I can be fluid within the crowd and get the close ups of each act while Alex gets one continuous mid shot from the side.

Client list: Music expo have been really generous and helpful with handing out my name to various bands looking to have music videos made. I have 2 additional clients and possibly more interested to add to my already quite big list. I an starting to work with a couple of clients and have given a couple of clients that wanted music videos sooner over to my colleagues as I’m finding myself inundated with interested at the moment. The main two clients I am focusing on at the moment is a guy called Rob Tribe who wants a live music video made and I am hoping to use this video for my live brief and I am waiting for him to contact his lead singer on the specifics of the video. I am also working with Sharon Martin who I am having a meeting with on Monday, her music has been played on the radio and we are going to meet to discuss ideas on what sort of video would suit her music best.
