Updating my logo

Original Logo

The logo on the left is my original logo, it was my first attempt at any sort of graphic design work and at the time I was really impressed with how it turned out. Over time however I started to notice that he circle could be a little more crisper and that I also didn't feel the design on the text worked very well. This lead my to do some playing around with Photoshop to see if I could create a more professional logo.

While experimenting with ideas me and my teacher looked over

several new designs that would help the logo to look

more professional. The first thing my teacher thought of

was to make the circle all one size rather than having it

get thinner the closer to the text it got (see above).

We looked at potentially having a full circle with the

text in the middle but I decided I didn't like it. We

then came up with the design to the right with the

letters of the text being slightly further apart than before

as well as changing the font. I liked how the text looked

but then we looked at having a circle in the middle

to add to the design and make it more unique.

On looking at it however I thought there was a

bit to much going on in the logo and it needed

simplifying. We eventually settled on the design below.

New Logo (Final)

The design to the left is my final design and the one that is now being used on all my company's productions and promotional things. I ended up going back to the original design to keep things simple but just make it more crisp, with no jagged edges or fading colours just one colour and one simple circle design. I feel this works as it shows a client that I also have some skills in design and also shows I care about my work as I feel the design feels like it took time to plan and produce.
