Project Ideas

I have recently had to put this project aside due to focusing on a music video I had also been working on but now I am back and solely focusing on my final major. Due to personal circumstances I am now doing the project on my own and it has lead me to think about other potential project ideas. Here are the positives and negatives of each idea:

Mockumentary- based on HP Lovecrafts novel shadow over innsmouth

Positives-

Already started researching idea

Can be filmed in local locations

I have actors that are prepared to be in it

Negatives-

Never written comedy before

Arts film based around society no dialogue looking at mental health

Positives-

Could show appropriate new film making techniques that I haven’t used before

Negatives-

Don’t know what direction the narrative would go in

Music Video-

Working with a client to create a music video must be creative with multiple locations

Positive-

I know the formula of making music videos

Negative-

Could spend too much time trying to find the right client

In conclusion, after discussing my ideas with multiple people they feel I could do a better job at creating an art installation around mental health issues. As I have never studied art before I am slightly nervous about how it will go so as a back up in case I don't think I have good enough ideas for an art installation I will also be carrying on with my short film idea. This means I will be doing research into art installations while writing some test scripts as back up.
