Due to it being a live shoot I am only able to get a quick location recce while the band is sound checking and during that time I also need to get some shots of the band as well. So to have the best preparation I can I have done some research on the inside of the Underground. As you can see in the images below it is quite small and really compact so we will need to be in our positions way before the show starts. I am hoping to have me and my smaller lumix camera at the front as it is not as good in low light and I don't have the best lens for long shots. I then plan to have Alex getting me a wide shot with his Sony somewhere further back in the room it is hard to say what will happen on the night but deeding on how busy it is Alex might have to be placed at the side of the stage if it is as busy as it is in the shot below. I then plan to have a go pro probably on the stage capturing the crowd reactions. I then also might have someone else helping and if they do turn up I will put them the other side to Alex getting the close ups of the drummer and bassist while I focus on the singer and lead guitarist.
Update: Planning is well under way and with the shoot date next week I am still trying to get more crew to help, I have posted in several different social media pages and I am hopefully of getting a few more people to help in order to cover more angles. I also will being doing the studio based test shoot next week now as no music students were interested so I am having to use people from my class.
