Based on my research I played around with some effects in photoshop and eventually came up with these designs. My idea was to go with a simple and professional design that was cheap to produce but also stood out against competitors. My final designs are the first and third image and the middle one was a test design for the front of the card, I personally prefer the first and third images but I wanted to ask other peoples opinion as well.
I asked one of my class colleagues for some feedback on my designs and I generally received positive feedback. My colleague thought the use of colour on my card made it stand out and look professional which is what I was going for. They also thought that the card wasn't to crowded and that helped the logo to stand out. A couple of things that they thought could be improved were that the base colour of the card was supposed to be black however it is more grey. They also said that the card doesn't at the moment specify what the company does so I am going to add that next to where my name is on the back of the card. I will also be changing the base colour to black as soon as possible to avoid any confusion.
